Larnaca Airport Taxi Transfers: What to Know

Larnaca (LCA) is Cyprus's main gateway, and for most arrivals a taxi is the fastest door-to-door option. The airport sits just outside the city, so a ride into central Larnaca is short; trips to Ayia Napa, Nicosia, Limassol, or Paphos are progressively longer and are usually priced as intercity journeys.

At arrivals

Licensed taxis wait at a marked rank directly outside the terminal. You do not need to book to use the rank — join the queue and a dispatcher or the drivers themselves will sort you out. During peak arrival waves the line moves quickly, but a pre-booked transfer skips the wait entirely.

How the fare is set

Booking ahead

If you land late, travel with children, or head straight to a resort town, arranging a transfer in advance removes friction: a driver meets you with a name board and the price is agreed up front. Any hotel can also organise a return pick-up for your departure — sensible for early flights.

Alternatives worth comparing

Shared airport shuttles and intercity buses connect Larnaca Airport with the main resorts at lower cost but on fixed timetables. A private taxi wins on speed and door-to-door convenience; a shuttle or bus wins on price if you are travelling light and flexible. For a family with luggage arriving at night, the taxi rank is usually the sane choice.
