Larnaca Airport Transfers: All Your Options

Larnaca Airport is where most visits to Cyprus begin. Getting from the terminal to your base is straightforward, but the best choice depends on where you are going, when you land, and how much luggage you are hauling. Here is how the options compare.

Taxi

The quickest, most flexible route. A licensed rank sits outside arrivals; short trips into Larnaca are metered while longer runs to other towns are usually a fixed fare — confirm it first. Best for late arrivals, families, and anyone who wants a door-to-door ride without a timetable.

Shared shuttle / private transfer

Pre-booked shuttles carry several parties to the resort towns for less than a private taxi, while a booked private transfer meets you with a name board at an agreed price. Both remove the guesswork if you are heading straight to Ayia Napa, Protaras, Limassol, or Paphos.

Intercity bus

Cyprus runs airport bus connections to the main cities at the lowest cost of all. They follow fixed schedules and are ideal if you travel light and your arrival lines up with a departure. Check current timetables before you rely on a late-night service.

Car hire

Rental desks operate at the airport, and picking up a car on arrival makes sense if you plan to explore beyond your resort. Remember Cyprus drives on the left, and you will want to be reasonably alert — not ideal straight off a red-eye flight.

Choosing

Whatever you choose, sorting it before you fly — or at least knowing the rank is right outside — turns arrival into the easy part of the trip.
